“Welcome to Lebanon! We know you came here for a specific job, but you’re going to get a completely different job, one which you are totally unprepared and unqualified for. You’re not allowed to quit, but don’t worry, you’ll only stay for four years, and we will even pay you a fraction of your salary.” How are these things still allowed to happen? How is this any different from slavery?
