This Filipina domestic worker was taken from abusive employer’s home to her consulate shortly after her video of her horrible living conditions went viral. It goes to show how helpful technology and social media can be when your job involves being trapped in someone else’s house! If only every domestic worker in Lebanon was required to have a phone and internet access, abuse and impunity might finally start to decrease.
